Rebound effect in natural cosmetics

Rebound effect in natural cosmetics

Did you know that organic cosmetics can yield rebound effects? Unfortunately, even natural beauty products can be harmful onto your skin. Harsh side effects can be ascribed to an array of organic compounds not suitable to certain skin types. That explains why you should be meticulous even in using natural skin care remedies.

Rebound effects, in case you haven’t heard yet, are physiological manifestations in response to harsh treatment inflicted on the dermis. As the name suggests, these are manifested in forms of common signs and symptoms that rebounded right after treatment. What’s more dismaying is that rebound signs and symptoms may appear even worse this time around.

Coined as rebound effects, you can expect rebound of unlikely signs and symptoms. In the initial period of using the product, you won’t suspect any side effects since you might be preoccupied by favourable results. Sooner or later though, you may encounter unlikely signs and symptoms on the rebound.

More often than not, rebound effects are brought about by harsh chemical compounds commonly infused in commercial beauty products. Harmful compounds may include alcohol, benzoyl peroxide, and alcohol. For instance, benzoyl peroxide, proven effective in treating acne, may upset your dermis after a good while. As a result, you may experience acne outbreak even worse than before.

Perhaps you are wondering why natural cosmetics could possibly yield rebound effects. Sure, it can be puzzling when organic products contain infusion of hardly any chemical compounds. Most likely, there are some cosmetics branded “organic” or “all natural” but actually contain traces of unlikely chemical compounds. Unfortunately, personal care products are not encompassed by US Food and Drug administration. That explains why no market testing has been administered before making them available on store shelves.

Natural cosmetics may also cause rebound effects due to irritants. These beauty products may contain natural compound particularly bismuth oxychloride that may cause irritation onto the skin. The compound, in particular, permits bacteria to grow onto the makeup. As a result, the skin is exposed to contaminants that may cause bacterial infection. Consequently, it can even be worse when used onto sensitive skin. Such contamination may trigger rebound effect after some time.

Rebound effects may also be elicited by sudden withdrawal from natural cosmetics. Skin addiction to certain beauty products, more often than not, stimulates rebound effects.
Unlikely signs and symptoms may occur the moment you quit using the product. Although these may likely go away after some time, it is advisable to upkeep skin hygiene to avoid any infection. In most cases, you’ll have to wait approximately two weeks for the effects to gradually subside.

Organic personal care products may bring out skin dryness that can cause rebound effects, too. Disruption of the skin’s natural acid balance prompts the sebaceous glands to produce more oil. When the skin is left dry, the body naturally responds by introducing natural oil onto the surface. This way, the skin gets to restore natural acidity to avoid over-dryness along with many other unlikely effects aggravating the condition.

Nonetheless, rebound effects can be treated given proper medical attention so you better visit your dermatologist.
