How To Eliminate Localized Fats

 



Localized fats may refer to the accumulation of fats in a specific area of the body such as belly fat or cellulite.  Belly fat is also known as abdominal fat, visceral fat, pot belly, love handles, spare tire, and stomach fat, which is usually caused by bad eating habits.  A cellulite is a fat deposit that bulges and produces the bumpy appearance.  Doctors say it is a special type of fat “gone wrong” or a combination of fat, water and toxic wastes that the body has failed to eliminate for certain reasons.

There are many ways to lose unwanted fats in the body, which are determined by one’s eating and exercise habits, but generally a plan to lose fat has three basic elements: (1) less eating and drinking (2) burning more calories and (3) resistance training to keep and trim the muscle.

Losing belly fat.  Belly fat can’t disappear overnight; neither can a machine or pill make it go away faster.  But authorities have suggested it can be eliminated through low carbohydrate nutrition to shed pounds of fat from the body, and through exercise to complement fat-burning nutritional strategy with fat-burning exercise.  Three basic steps are involved to lose belly fat, and these are:

1.    Understanding the health risks associated with belly fat such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer;
2.    Exercising for weight loss (an aerobic exercise can facilitate fat loss all over the body); and
3.    Changing one’s diet by restricting calorie intake.

Belly fat can also be lost through some type of aerobic exercise at least five times a week, and 30 to 45 minutes each time of such exercise like swimming or stair-stepping.  But if you are not exercising, you should consult a doctor to help in making sure that you are fit for the exercise which is usually heart-taxing.  You should also make simple changes on your diet that is, a change from full-fat dairy products to non-fat or low-fat, and eat plenty of vegetables raw or steamed, as they have a high water content and very low calories and fat.  Take a snack on fruits during the day as fruits have energy-giving sugar.  Don’t forget to exercise to work on your waist and tummy with the reverse bicycle, which is the best abs workout.

Women with abdominal fat are advised to perform such exercises as pelvic lifts and pelvic tilts, which are also good for losing buttock fats.  You can do pelvic lifts by lying on your back on the floor with the knees bent toward your chest and arms relaxed by your side.  With this position, tighten your lower abdomen and slowly lift your bum off the floor until your knees are positioned toward the roof and hold for eight to 10 seconds, and then repeat five times and work up to 10 to 20 repetitions as you progress.  Pelvic tilts are a great exercise for the lower back, abdominals, and sacroiliac joint and adjacent parts.

Eliminating cellulite.  Cellulite can be eliminated by combining low-fat diet with an appropriate exercise program, which is so far the most practical, safest and long-lasting way to reduce, if not eliminate the bulging fat deposit.  Other activities include strength training, resistance training, body wrapping, and body sculpting.
Strength training not only reduces unsightly appearance of cellulite but also increases muscle tone and decreases total body fat.  For women, a program must target fat loss in the lower body, especially the hips, thighs, abdomen and buttocks.
Resistance training creates more fat-burning muscles to give you a leaner, shapely body, especially if this is incorporated with lightweight training into the fitness routine.

Body wrapping is done in many salons and spas, where clients can trim off their waist, hips, thighs and other problems areas of the body.  Body sculpting is a two-hour procedure done in a clinic under the supervision of a doctor, for emulsifying fat tissues in areas of concern.
