Sex, a pleasant fat burning


Ah, sex. Most people think of it as just a very pleasurable experience that they can enjoy.  Something that makes them feel good all over and make them forget all of their troubles, even if only for a short period of time.  But did you know that sex can actually help you take care of one of the most persistent problems you have?  I am of course talking about your problem regarding losing weight and burning all that excess fat.  Yes, it’s true.  This is one of the things that sound too good to be true and yet it is.  You can enjoy yourself while having sex and at the same time burn off those extra pounds too!  Sex is the perfect workout!

Having sex can actually help you burn a lot more calories than any other regular task you do during your day.  A 30 minute sexual encounter for example, can burn up to 150 calories.  That’s a lot, especially when you compare it to doing house chores which can only burn up to 11 calories in the same amount of time.  In addition to that, sex is a whole lot more exciting and enjoyable than any house chore you can come up with.  Sex is even said to be a very effective way to greatly reduce your cholesterol levels.

Sex is a great fat burning activity because in makes you use many of the different muscles in your body, not like some exercises which only target a few muscles.  But this benefit of course depends greatly on the kind of sex you have.  Boring, single position sex of course will not burn as many calories as exciting multi-position sex with extra foreplay.  

During sex, your body releases endorphins which make you feel good and give you an increased level of energy.  Fortunately, these endorphins work for you long after the actual sexual act is over.  With the endorphins still flowing through your body, you will feel a lot livelier and a lot more energetic.  This means that you will begin to be more active in your daily life and continue to burn those calories before and after sex.

That’s right; sex can help you burn those calories not only directly but indirectly as well.  For instance, sex is a great way to keep you from falling into the trap of boredom eating or lonely eating binges.  Having sex will make you feel so good about yourself that you will never have to experience the unfortunate circumstance of feeling lonely and having to turn to food as a distraction.  This is one of the most common reasons why a lot of people gain weight.  You will not have to worry about this though, because you will be having sex and enjoying yourself.  You will not feel bored or lonely.  On the contrary, you will have a boost to your self esteem and you will be very happy.

That is how great sex is as a fat burning and weight loss tool.  It not only works when you are actually doing it, but even when you are not.
